The weekend session covers the balance of the material included in the Sail Canada Coastal Navigation standard. Subsequent evening sessions are scheduled to write the Coastal Navigation Examination and to review the results with students. Weekend sessions will focus on methods of position determination, how to shape a course that effectively deals with currents and navigation planning and pilotage. The second part includes a logbook as well as materials required for administering the Coastal Navigation exam and certifying students.
