A friendly volunteer-run club on Toronto's Humber Bay
Our Commodore (Bob Stevenson), Rear Commodore (Kit Wallace) and Member (Sue Mitchell) have been working with WEBSA (West End Beaches Stakeholders Association) for several years. (WEBSA is a coalition of the Argonaut Rowing Club, The Boulevard Club, Sunnyside Paddling Club and TS&CC.) One of the important issues for our clubs is the condition of the breakwall along the front of our clubs. To that end, WEBSA has prepared a proposal for improvement to the west end beaches (including the breakwall among other things). The proposal has been reviewed by various levels of government and it is now time to present it to the community.
On Novermber 25th, 2017, from 1:00pm until 4:00pm, WEBSA will be hosting an open house event at the Argonaut Rowing Club to present the proposal. All members of the community are invited (as are press and political representation). Also invited are members of the founding clubs of WEBSA.
Hopefully we can build enough support among the community, politicians and the general public to allow the proposal to move forward.
Please feel free to join us at the Argonaut Rowing Club and see the proposal for yourself. Please go to www.humberbayforall.com to learn more about the event and register to attend.
Our club is near the foot of Dowling Avenue, on the water's edge between Argonaut Rowing Club and the Boulevard Club. To park, turn south onto Net Drive from Lake Shore.
