Registration

  • Access Officers work under the direction of the Safety Officer to keep the site safe while the boats are being lifted.

  • Oversees / instructs other dock sling handlers; on dock and on boats, removing slings. Must be nimble & wear safety boots, gloves and waterproof and weather appropriate clothing.

    Please arrive at 6:45am to receive instructions.
  • Stationed at the Registration desk checking-in work crew and boat owners who are hauling-out, including handing out pram/tender stickers and collecting boat insurance information.

    Please arrive at 6:30am to assist with set-up and receive instructions.
  • Records actual time of boats and boat/owner names hauled-out; ensures next few boat owners are lined up and ready to go and maintains a list on the blackboard.

  • Overseeing Access Officers & general safety. Also acts as a floater, relieving various sling handlers who may need a break from time to time. This position may go later than 5pm.
  • Oversee other Upper Deck Sling Handlers; on boats, attaching slings. Must be nimble & wear safety hat & boots.

Sign up for haul-out work crew / work hours. Click on the Registration button to begin the process. You will have the option to select the position & time slot that interests you in the next steps.

Haul-out is on Saturday, October 22, 2022.

Notes:

(1) A waitlist will be available. All positions will be confirmed by email closer to haul-out.

(2) For Lead positions, please sign up only if you have experience in this or related work.

(3) For all outdoor positions, please wear safety gear and weather-appropriate attire.

Our club is near the foot of Dowling Avenue, on the water's edge between Argonaut Rowing Club and the Boulevard Club. To park, turn south onto Net Drive from Lake Shore.
